Here you will find an array of bush and pole beans; green, yellow, purple and red podded beans as well as streaked podded beans; wide and narrow podded beans; beans used for fresh eating pod and all, fresh eating shell beans, and/or dry beans; and beans that are actually quite different from the regular Phaseolus vulgaris bean but still have some similarities (fava beans, soy beans, etc).
True Red Cranberry is a traditional New England variety with dark red, almost round seeds that are used as a dry bean.

Henderson Bush Lima was introduced in 1889 by the Peter Henderson Company of New York. Dwarf bush plants grow like regular bush beans. One of the earliest maturing limas, tasty and tender eaten as a fresh shell bean. Can also be used as a dry bean.

Arikara Yellow, grown by the First Nations people of the Dakotas, is almost as early as Great Northern and a much better producer. The round slim pods have five or six light yellow-brown seeds.Beans / Dry Beans
