It’s important to be mindful of the distance and depth of the seeds you plant. The distance should be up to two inches, and the depth should be one inch. You must also have spacing in between rows of about 18 inches, but you can limit it to 10 inches if you have raised beds or limited space.

You must also read the labels of the seed package. Choose seeds packed in the past year more than the older ones. The seeds of beans germinate slower as they get older.

You will have better germination with newer seeds. If you have seeds that are two years older or more, they will likely decrease the germination rate by half.
