Brown Teff

Teff is the basic cereal grain of Ethiopia. The tiny seeds are produced in very loose panicles on slender grass-like plants. Somewhat late maturing here. We are just beginning to grow Teff so have limited information on the two varieties we offer but apparently the brown seeded is the earlier of the two. The colour refers to the seeds.

Camelina/Siberian Oilseed

Camelina/Siberian Oilseed has been traditionally grown in parts of Russia for its edible oil and spicy arugula-like leaves. The plants are shorter than canola, with smaller pods and seeds, and mature early. This could be a good alternative to canola which has been almost completely contaminated by genetically engineered seed.
